Client Industry – Chartered Surveying Practice
Project Value – £700k
Project Description – The aim of the scheme was to undertake a full refurbishment of a business centre to allow letting of both the industrial units and office areas. Due to its previous occupation the building had become dilapidated and the finishes were tired and uninviting for potential tenants.
Works Description –
All 34nr industrial units were stripped out completely due to former tenants modifications back to a shell. We then serviced the gas fired heating system, renewed the lighting and redecorated each unit including the floors.
Within the office and communal areas all finishes were updated including decoration, floor finishes and lighting. We introduced a new intake and extract air flow system to regulate the boardroom area in the middle of the business centre. WC’s were stripped out completely and new IPS systems introduced to produce a high class finish in these areas.
Externally the rooflights were repaired where required with defective glazing being replaced across the entire site and existing panes cleaned to facilitate ingress of natural light into the units. The entire external cladding system was prepared and redecorated to present a new modern look to the centre.
The success of the scheme was telling as all offices and industrial units are now let to new tenants.
